The energy lost in the United States from wasted heat in the power generation sector is greater than the total energy use of Japan.

The Combined Heat and Power System + Solar Hot Water = Prime Electric Power for Less
Easy Energy uses a combined heat and power system with solar water heating, helping businesses save money on their utilities. Ideal candidates for a peak shaving and solar hot water solution include multi-family housing communities and hotels which operate a centralized plant for heating and cooling. Natural gas is saved by solar water heating and can now be utilized by the peak shaving system to generate electricity, increasing additional heat for onsite use. Maximum savings are achieved by using the natural gas fueled generator during times of peak-demand electricity, thereby saving money and ensuring that electrical equipment loads can be more effectively managed during utility “brown out” periods.
Combined Heat and Power ~ What it is
With combined heat and power there are many benefits including greater efficiency and lower energy costs. Our combined heat and power units vary in size from 4 KW – 2 MW of produced electric power and we’ll show you how to generate peak power when you need it most, for less cost than the utility companies do.
Combined Heat and Power ~ How it Works
A combined heat and power system simultaneously generates electric or mechanical energy and utilizes the thermal energy that is normally wasted. It is configured to generate “on-peak” electricity, recapture the waste heat, and use it for domestic water heating, pool or spa heating or space heating.
Is the Peak Shaving System Right for my Facility?
Combined heat and power systems or CHP should be considered by any commercial facility with a constant electrical and heating/cooling load. Typically, central plant operations benefit most from peak shaving technology. Multi-family housing communities, hotels and resorts, senior living centers, restaurants, and hospitals / medical centers are excellent candidates.

Easy Energy offers flexible financing options for our alternative energy systems. We work with several commercial leasing partners who finance equipment for renewable energy projects.
If you qualify, you’ll join our growing group of clients who lease a solar system often with no upfront cost and a low monthly payment that saves on utilities the first month the system is installed. By using utility rebates and tax incentives for renewable energy and energy efficiency are incorporated into your leasing plan when applicable, resulting in a low monthly payment that is less than your monthly energy savings.
