Solar Thermal ~ How it Works
Our solar thermal system is designed to supplement your existing water heating system by raising the temperature of the cold ground level water by 50 degrees or more, before it gets to the natural gas boiler. That means less natural gas used and a prolonged life for your boiler.
The cold water from the bottom of the tank is circulated (via a small pump) through the solar collectors on the roof where it is warmed by the heat of the sun before being returned to the tank. A temperature controller continuously monitors the heat of the water in the tank and activates the natural gas boiler if the water temperature does not meet the programmed temperature setting.
By incorporating a solar water heating system throughout the year, the boilers will not have to work as hard to bring the water up to the desired temperature. Less work required by the boiler translates to less natural gas use, lower utility bills and extended life of the boilers.
We offer flexible financing for renewable energy systems. Our commercial leasing partners are focused on financing commercial and industrial renewable energy projects.
By qualifying you can join our growing group of clients who lease a solar thermal system often with no upfront cost and a low monthly payment that saves on utilities the first month the system is installed. Utility rebates and tax incentives for renewable energy are incorporated into your leasing plan and reflected in a low monthly payment that is less than your monthly energy savings.
